Archpriest Ostoja Knežević, rector of the Cathedral of St. Basil of Ostrog in Nikšić, one of those detained in Montenegro for the service following a procession in honor of the greatly beloved St. Basil of Ostrog, thanked the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for glorifying God in Spirit and Truth.
“The UOC is especially grateful (the clergy and believers of the Serbian Church – Ed.) for an example of genuine service to the Lord. For the fact that the Lord is glorified in Spirit and Truth in your beautiful land, despite all the temptations and trials that your Church has gone through and is still experiencing,” the “Православний вісник” (“Orthodox Bulletin”) cites the words of Archpriest Ostoja Knežević.
The priest of the Serbian Church also reminded the believers of the importance of maintaining unity and prayers for each other.
“Our common hope is in the Lord, in prayers for each other, and in our unity in Spirit and Truth. Christ is risen!" he concluded.
Archpriest Ostoja also spoke about the details of his detention.
