On February 2, 2023, Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople once again reminded Ukrainians that parishes of the OCU abroad are subordinate to the Phanar, Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian parliamentary commissioner for human rights, wrote on Telegram.
During a meeting with Lubinets, the head of the Phanar stressed that the Patriarchate of Constantinople has sent letters to its metropolitans who are in Europe "to take care of the Ukrainians who are there now".
"That is, every metropolis that is in (the jurisdiction, - Ed.) of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Europe will take care of Ukrainians," Lubinets wrote.
As reported, according to OCU "priest" Petro Bokanov, parishes in Germany do not want to go under the Phanar jurisdiction.
