Igor Brovchenko, the head of the working group of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on mathematical modeling of problems associated with the coronavirus epidemic, said that Ukraine had passed the peak of infection. He told about this during the press conference of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, a video of which was published on the “Actual Science” page on Facebook.
According to him, NAS analysts established that the plateau phase had lasted about 2 weeks and already come to an end.
“We had a plateau phase, which continued for about two weeks, and we have now reached the end of this plateau phase. From the point of view of mathematics, this plateau was formally a peak. In effect, we have passed the peak,” explained Brovchenko.
He also spoke about the daily trend, when there are more people who have recovered than those who are sick.
“Starting from May 10, we have had a steady decline (of the coronavirus incidence – Ed.),” the head of the NAS working group reiterated.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health predicted the end date of the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine.
