Chernihiv metropolitan of UOC awards orders to AFU special forces soldiers

The ruling bishop of the Chernihiv Eparchy of the UOC, Metropolitan Ambrose awarded soldiers of one of the special units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with orders of St Lawrence of Chernihiv, the eparchial press service reports.
The soldiers received church awards for courage and heroism shown while defending the Chernihiv region.
Orders consecrated on the relics of the saint were presented to the commandos at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Chernihiv by the secretary of the eparchial administration, Archpriest Ihor Pidan. He served an akathist to St Lawrence, and the soldiers revered the relics of St Lawrence as well as St Theodosius and St Filaret.
In gratitude for their prayers and spiritual support, the soldiers handed Metropolitan Ambrose a flag of Ukraine with their signatures.
Ax reported, soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who are involved in military operations expressed gratitude to Metropolitan Mykola of Kremenchuk and Lubny and clergy of the Kremenchuk Eparchy of the UOC for their spiritual care and humanitarian aid.
