The Information and Education Department of the UOC has published photos that document the condition of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra before and after its transfer to the Church.
As a reminder, in June 1988, a few days before the celebrations of the 1000th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra resumed its activities as a monastery. The Far Caves were returned to the Church, and in February 1990, the Near Caves were also returned.
As the UOJ reported, the conclusions of the interdepartmental commission that examined the terms of the agreement between the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" and the UOC were classified by the Ministry of Culture. However, based on the conclusions of this examination, the UOC monks must leave their abode by March 29th.
