The police demanded that the synodals of the UOC leave the territory of the OP due to the start of an air raid alert. Leaving the square in front of the Office of the President, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry noted that he and the members of the Synod had the hope to the last that Zelenskyy would receive them.
“We came here in the hope that we will meet with our esteemed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. We understand that the President is a busy man. Unfortunately, an air raid warning has now begun, and we cannot wait any longer, but we hope that this meeting will take place in the future,” His Beatitude told the UOJ correspondent.
At the same time, the Primate added that the bishops of the UOC came to Zelenskyy in order to express their attention and respect, and expect the same treatment in return.
Recall that on March 20, the Primate and members of the Synod of the UOC came to the Office of the President with the intention of meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
