Metropolitan Theodore of Kamyanets-Podilskyi and Horodok wrote a statement to the law enforcement agencies, in which he reported an attack by unknown persons on the religious community of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. The bishop's statement got into the disposal of the UOJ.

Metropolitan Theodore stated that since April 8, 2023, a group of unknown people has been trying to force the religious community of the UOC Cathedral to join the OCU.

“For this purpose, rallies are held on the territory of the Cathedral by unknown persons using the national flag and loudspeakers. They are accompanied by various slogans, including those that offend our community. As a result of such illegal actions, the holding of divine services is hindered, the observance of church rites by the parishioners of the Cathedral is made impossible,” he wrote.

In his statement, the hierarch also said that from April 8 to April 9, 2023, more than 500 people tried to seize the cathedral building. At the same time, he stressed that the plan of those wishing to seize the shrine failed, as they were prevented by believers - members of the community.

As reported by the UOJ, the radicals in Kamyanets attacked the believers of the UOC.

The UOJ also wrote that Metropolitan Theodore called on the police to prevent confrontation near the cathedral.
