The ruling bishop of the Lviv diocese, Metropolitan Filaret (Kucherov), noted that the Feast of the Holy Resurrection of Christ this year for his flock is overshadowed by events around the Church. Vladyka wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“We could not, together with one heart and one mouth, glorify the Risen Christ in our churches, which are now seized. This cross of trials, which Christ gave to His people to bear in Galicia, is the road by which the Lord unites us with Himself,” added Metropolitan Filaret.
The ruling bishop of the Lviv diocese recalled that all hardships and trials through Golgotha and the radiant tomb of Christ will certainly renew the hearts of believers with the divine grace of the Risen Christ.
“May the Lord unite us all, send patience in trials, hope and confidence!” finalized his address the Metropolitan of Lviv and Galicia.
As reported by the UOJ, the raiders seized all the churches of the UOC in Lviv, and the last of them, St. Vladimir’s, was demolished with an excavator.
