On July 16, 2020, the Pridneprovye District Court of Cherkassy city satisfied the petition of the Investigation Department of the GUNP in the Cherkassy Region to put children's writer Oleg Slepynin, who criticized the OCU and Tomos, under house arrest for 2 months,. This was reported by the Internet edition "Provincia".
The day before, at 16:00, the press service of the SBU in the Cherkassy region reported that another "anti-Ukrainian agitator" – a writer who "publicly condemned the existence of one of the Ukrainian confessions", had been found out in Cherkassy. The press service noted that the "agitator", commissioned by the "Russian curators", disseminated information aimed "at inciting religious, ethnic hatred and support for separatism".
The message about the search in the house of the "agitator" was illustrated with photographs a year and a half ago, which were made during a search at Slepynin's house from year and a half ago, on March 13, 2019.
“Does the restless Oleg Semenovich continue his risky experiments in the field of criticism of the OCU and Tomos? … The ordinary brain is not able to grasp the logic in the actions and statements of the SBU. What yesterday they passed off as a fresh exposure of the "anti-Ukrainian agitator" is a trivial repetition of what already happened on March 13, 2019. Except that they added support for the activities of the DPR / LPR leaders to Slepynin,” Viktor Borisov, journalist of the Provincia newspaper, commented on the message of the SBU press service.
He also said that the confiscated computer and laptop have not yet been returned to the writer, who was sentenced to house arrest. Because of this, Slepynin cannot continue working on the novel he has been writing over the past years.
On March 13, 2019, in Cherkassy, the SBU, officers of the National Police and the procedural leadership of the Prosecutor's Office conducted a search in the apartment of the storyteller, who was accused of allegedly producing and distributing materials on Russian Internet resources by order of Russian curators, condemning the creation of the OCU and receiving the Tomos.
