Former Metropolitan of the UOC Alexander (Drabinko) called on the Ukrainian authorities to ban the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church in the country. The ex-metropolitan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
Commenting on the decision of the "Crimean court" that ordered the "hierarch" of the OCU Clement Kushch to demolish the OCU temple in Yevpatoria within five days, Drabinko said that "the leadership of the State must immediately give an adequate response to this ‘spiritual’ terrorism."
In his opinion, "in the event of the implementation of the declared threats", the Ukrainian authorities should "ban the activities of the ROC in Ukraine as an accomplice of international terrorism."
In the comments under Drabinko's post, “cleric” of the OCU, user Petr Oz (probably this page belongs to the “cleric” of the OCU Petr Zuyev) wrote that this is “diappointing news and an essentially unconstitutional decision. But the response of the Ukrainian state cannot be “banning the Moscow Patriarchate, because this is a violation of the constitutional rights of Ukrainian citizens to freedom of conscience.”
In turn, Drabinko replied: "Are there believers of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine (who officially recognize themselves as such) so that their rights can be violated?"
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that on June 20, 2020, ex-Metropolitan of the UOC Alexander (Drabinko), accompanied by the Right Sector and S-14, performed the "consecration" of a cross and a stone at the site of the planned construction of the OCU temple in Morozovka.
