On April 28, 2023, a group of provocateurs entered the Lower Lavra together with the Channel 5 film crew. At the head of the group was a man who called himself "the magician Belial", as well as "the author of magical books and maps, a demonologist, a tantrist."

“We want the canonical Ukrainian church of Metropolitan Epifaniy here (in the Lavra – Ed.),” the “magician” said. “And you are a non-canonical church.” Then this man began to "baptize" believers, portraying a priest.

Other provocateurs came to the Far Caves with posters “Relics are traded here”, “Relics are one of the most powerful ways for the Church to receive money”, “While you are silent, the relics disappear.” On the clothes of one of the activists concerned about the relics, the inscription “OHUENO” (f*cking – Trans. Note) flaunts.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that near the Lavra, the “priest” of the OCU called the monks “non-humans” and “complete Muscovites.”
