On April 29, 2023, near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, a group of radicals tried to attack His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry, who left the Church of Agapit of the Caves after the end of the Vespers. The UOJ correspondent filmed the video of the attack.

The men who were on on the lookout near the entrance to the Lower Lavra, seeing the Primate of the UOC, rushed to him and tried to attack. They shouted “Onuphry for exchange”, “saboteurs in cassocks”, “shame”. The police ran forward and managed to prevent the attack. His Beatitude was shielded by subdeacons and guards.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Bishop Nikita of Ivano-Frankivsk was beaten in Chernivtsi.
