The Network showed the appalling state of the Upper Lavra objects, which belong to the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Reserve.
The video of the objects of the Upper Lavra was published in a report by journalists of 1kozaktv.
"Let us remember that all this time 90% of the Upper Lavra has been used by the state, under the control of the same Ministry of Culture. In what condition are they today? How well has the state dealt with the stolen part of the monastery? Let us look at it together. Let's make a small excursion around the Upper Lavra", the journalists said.
The journalists showed that the plaster has peeled off on the objects that belong to the Reserve, with cracks on many of the buildings.
"Maybe, we should cover these cracks with scotch tape, especially in yellow and blue, then it will definitely work. It's immediately obvious that this is a tradition of godless officials," the journalists added.
"The Book Printing Museum in the Lavra – not only is the plaster here peeling, but it's also crumbling," the report noted.
"Behind a flow of dirt, rabid hatred and cheap provocations we forgot about the formal arguments that allegedly caused the Ministry of Culture, represented by the Reserve, to break the lease with the monastery and kick the UOC out of the Lavra. The most decent of these pseudo-arguments is the thesis that allegedly the monastery takes bad care of ... the monastery. Just don't laugh. That's exactly their logic. The Ministry of Culture claims that a certain commission found some violations in the use of the buildings of the Lavra complex and found their improper condition, and therefore, the Reserve must again steal the shrine which was restored from the ruins. They have not admitted what these violations are: it is, apparently, a military secret, and those examples that they tried to give, struck at them because they turned out to be false. The Lavra under the UOC has blossomed and is shining, even the chocolate propagandists of Channel 5 had to accept this fact and show it in their streamers," resumed the 1kozaktv reporters.
