On May 13, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Metropolitan Meletiy of Chernivtsy and Bukovyna, the head of the Department for External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church met with a delegation of the World Council of Churches, reports the press service of the Chernivtsi Eparchy.
The delegation consisted of Pastor Jerry Pillay, WCC General Secretary, Bishop Heinrich Bedford-Strom, Chairman of the WCC Lutheran Central Committee, Archbishop Vicken Aykazian, Director of the WCC Commission of Churches for International Affairs Peter Prouv and Head of the WCC Program “Ecumenical Relationships, Faith and the Constitution” Prof. Vasile-Octavian Mihok.
The delegation of guests is accompanied by the cleric of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese, Archpriest Mykola Popescu.
As reported, Patriarch Kirill discussed the situation in Ukraine with members of the World Council of Churches.
