Four new metropolitans and two new archbishops ordained in UOC

On August 17, 2020, on the day of his enthronement, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, ordained four new metropolitans and two new archbishops on the square in front of the Assumption Cathedral of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The video was posted on the Facebook page of the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich).
For merits before the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, with the blessing of the Primate, archbishops were elevated to the rank of metropolitan: Vladimir of Kamensk and Tsarichansk, Filaret of Novokakhovka and Genichesk, Nikolai of Kremenchug and Lubny, Longin of Bancheny, vicar of the Chernivtsi Eparchy.
The following bishops have been elevated to the rank of archbishops: Nikolay of Vasilkov, vicar of the Kyiv Eparchy; Eusevy of Shepetovka and Slavuta.
As the UOJ reported, on the eve of the day of enthronement, the Primate led the all-night vigil in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
