Metropolitan Longin of Bancheny summoned for interrogation

On May 22, 2023, Metropolitan Longin, abbot of the Holy Ascension Bancheny Monastery of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy of the UOC, was summoned for interrogation.
The Telegram channel of the press service of the Chernivtsi diocese of the UOC published a video with a message from the bishop that on May 19, 2023, he received a summons for interrogation, which was scheduled for May 22, 2023.
Vladyka noted that the interrogation should take place “on the day of the feast in honor of St. Nicholas, on the day of my episcopal consecration, for which I am sincerely grateful to my benefactors.”
“I was and remain faithful to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry. I ask God's help to remain faithful to the canonical Orthodox Church to the end and preserve the purity of our Orthodox faith."
“Now I want to testify that I was faithful to my state, which appreciated my work. Today, perhaps for the first and last time, I put on these awards, for which I am extremely grateful to the state,” Metropolitan Longin said.
Vladyka asked for prayers from the faithful and said that “we will suffer, we will endure, but we will not sell either the Church or the state. We always stay with our people.”
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that according to Metropolitan Longin, the state wants to take away the most precious thing from us – the Church.
