On June 5, 2023, the Commercial Court of Kyiv decided to adjourn for a month the preparatory meeting to consider the claim of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve against the same-name monastery of the UOC regarding the removal of obstacles to the use of property. This was announced on his Telegram channel by the lawyer of the monastery, Archpriest Nikita Chekman.
“Currently, preparatory proceedings are underway and all evidence in the case is being collected with the aim of a full and comprehensive trial,” the lawyer said. “At the request of the monastery, the court adjourned the preparatory hearing to July 6, 2023, 10:30 a.m..”
Father Nikita noted that "the monastery does not recognize the claims and considers them unfounded."
As the UOJ reported, on June 7, a court hearing will be held on the claim of the monastery against the reserve to recognize the termination of the lease agreement as illegal.
