Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko stated that "the commission for the transfer of state property of the National Reserve 'Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra' has completed its work" on June 5, 2023. However, the UOC did not want to hand over the keys to all 79 objects in the Lower Lavra to the commission of the Ministry of Culture and vacate the monastery within the three-day deadline. He made this statement on June 12, 2023, on his Telegram channel.

"We have to state that the deadline has passed, and the UOC has not done so yet. This and all other obstacles will be added to the legal case," Tkachenko promised.

According to him, at the beginning of July, the Ministry of Culture expects a decision from the Economic Court of Kyiv regarding "the obligation of the UOC to remove obstacles to the use of the property by its owner, transferred in accordance with Agreement No. 2 of July 19, 2013, terminated since March 29, 2023."

Tkachenko believes the report of the Ministry of Culture's commission "will be evidence of numerous violations committed by the UOC, as well as the obstacles created by the representatives of the UOC in the use of the Reserve's property in a court hearing for the issuance of a corresponding decision".

As earlier reported, according to MP Artem Dmitruk, Tkachenko's actions on the Lavra are incompetent and barbarous, and the minister himself should leave his post.
