UOC priest killed as a result of shelling in Bilozerka, Kherson region

On June 13, 2023, the artillery of the Russian Federation shelled the settlement of Bilozerka in the Kherson region, resulting in the damage of the Orthodox church and the death of a priest, reports the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, on Telegram.
According to the UOJ, the UOC Church of St. John the Baptist was hit by the shelling, and its rector, the dean of the Bilozerka district, Priest Nikolai Palagniuk, was killed. He was 72 years old. The priest died while distributing humanitarian aid to the flood victims on the church premises.
Earlier, the UOJ reported the death of a UOC priest due to injuries from shrapnel in the Chernihiv region.
