UOC Primate leads the liturgy in Feofaniya on his namesake day

On June 25, 2023, on the day of commemoration of St. Onuphrius the Great, a solemn service was held at the St. Panteleimon Convent in Feofaniya on the occasion of the namesake of the Primate of the UOC, reports news.church.ua.
The Divine Liturgy in the main cathedral of the monastery was officiated by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry.
The primate was concelebrated by a host of bishops of the UOC, the clergy of the monastery and Kyiv, and guests from the dioceses of the UOC in holy orders.
Abbesses and nuns of the monastic cloisters of the UOC, sisters of mercy, clergy from different dioceses, pilgrims and parishioners of the monastery prayed during the service.
During the liturgy, the participants prayed for peace on Ukrainian soil.
His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry ordained a graduate of the Kyiv Theological Academy Macarius Kapitanyuk as a deacon.
After the dismissal, the Primate was sung many years of life, followed by congratulations to His Beatitude the Archpastor from the Primates and representatives of the Local Orthodox Churches.
Greetings from the Holy Synod of the UOC were delivered by Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa and Izmail.
The Primate of the UOC thanked everyone for their congratulations, prayers and support. Then all the believers present greeted His Beatitude Vladyka with his St. Patron’s day.
As the UOJ previously reported, the Primate officiated the service in Feofaniya on the eve of the Ven. Onuphrius holiday.
