On June 29, 2023, Metropolitan Pavel’s house arrest was over. As there was no court hearing due to the absence of a prosecutor, the abbot went to the Lavra.

He blessed the participants in the prayer standing and met with the brethren after a two-month absence.

As reported, Metropolitan Pavel said that the SBU demanded that he recognize the OCU.
