A permanent member of the Holy Synod of the UOC, Chairman of the Synodal Information and Education Department of the UOC, Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky, said that the Ministry of Culture did not provide a single example that would indicate the dependence of the UOC on the ROC.

In an interview with the Legal Control YouTube channel, Vladyka said that the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine "has a huge number of answers from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, based on official documents of our religious community, which testify to our withdrawal and our independence from the Russian Orthodox Church."

In contrast to this, Vladyka noted that the UOC had repeatedly called on the representatives of the Ministry of Culture and the State Department for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience to give at least one example that would indicate some kind of dependence of the UOC on the ROC.

An example, continued Metropolitan Clement, “where they would see some orders or specific instructions, or some other facts that could prove the existence of these dependencies in our statutory documentation or in the real life of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.”

“We did not receive such an answer, but received only some regular remarks that have nothing to do with either the statutory documentation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church or with its real life,” the bishop summed up.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky commented on the decisions of the Council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
