On July 6, 2023, representatives of law enforcement agencies began to use force against the defenders of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.

A video posted on the UOJ telegram channel shows the police using force to drag believers away from one of the buildings of the Lavra.

One of the defenders of the Lavra was probably detained. Also, one can hear someone screaming“why are you kicking me?” in the video.

Believers ask law enforcement officers on what basis they do this and explain that their actions are a sin.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the commission of the Ministry of Culture broke the doors to the residence of the Primate of the UOC in the Lavra.
