The Ukrainian Orthodox Church believes that the late His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr prays before the Lord's Throne for the preservation of the purity of faith by the clergy and flock of the UOC. The Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, said this in his archpastoral homily at the service on the ninth anniversary of the death of Metropolitan Volodymyr, reports the Information and Education Department of the Church.

“We believe that God has honored him (Metropolitan Volodymyr – Ed.) with the grace to be together with the righteous, and today he prays for us and asks that the Lord would make us wiser, so that in these difficult times, in our own way, we also preserve the purity of faith, unity in Christ, because this is the path that the Church must follow in this earthly stormy sea,” noted the Primate.

He expressed the hope that “through the prayers of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr, the Lord will bless our land with peace, and we will be able to return to a normal life, normal communication, and we will work together, rebuild our country.”

“Metropolitan Volodymyr of blessed memory is a great bishop who was filled with the grace of Christ, who was ready for every good deed, who was an honest, righteous, humble, meek and wise pastor. He managed to find ways that led the Church to Christ, because the main task of the Church is to lead people to salvation,” the Primate emphasized.

As the UOJ reported, on July 5, 2023, on the day of memory of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr, the Primate of the UOC celebrated the Divine Liturgy and litia at the St. Panteleimon Monastery in Feofaniya.
