Representatives of UOC meet with State Ethnopolitics head

On July 7, 2023, a meeting was held between representatives of the UOC and the head of the State Ethnic Policy Viktor Yelensky, the press service of the UOC reports.

At the meeting, which was held with the blessing of His Beatitude Onuphry, the UOC was attended by Metropolitan Clement, Archbishop Sylvester, and Archpriest Nikita Chekman, the lawyer of the Lavra.

The text says that the parties discussed the development of interaction between the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the State Department. Other details are not reported.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Patriarch Bartholomew discussed "current issues" with Yelensky at the Phanar.
