On August 11, at a briefing, when asked what will happen to the KDAiS, whose educational buildings are located on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Acting General Director of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve Maxym Ostapenko said that this issue would be resolved at the state level.

Ostapenko believes that this issue is within the purview of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, as well as the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience (DESS).

As the UOJ reported, from August 10, the reserve closes the entrance to the Lower Lavra for everyone, except for priests, monks and monastery workers.
