UOC celebrates the ninth anniversary of its Primate’s enthronement

On August 17, 2023, on the anniversary of the enthronement, the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry officiated the Divine Liturgy in the Lavra Church of St. Agapit of Pechersk. The broadcast of the service was published on YouTube by the press service of the UOC.

On the eve of the anniversary of his enthronement, His Beatitude Onuphry led the festive Vespers in the church of St. Agapit of Pechersk. The UOC primate was concelebrated by Metropolitan Theodore of Kamyanets-Podilskyi, Metropolitan Meletiy of Chernivtsi, Metropolitan Anthony, Chancellor of the UOC, Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky, and other metropolitans, archbishops and bishops of the UOC, as well as the clergy of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and guests in holy orders.

His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry was elected Primate of the UOC at the Council of Bishops of the UOC on August 13, 2014, and on August 17, the ceremony of his enthronement took place in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

As the UOJ reported, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry called for constant prayer – in the days of trial and well-being.
