On September 28, 2023, during the "All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference of the OCU" in Kremenets, dedicated to the fate of the Pochaiv Lavra, "Metropolitan" Michael Zinkevych told "Suspilne" that the OCU, UOC and UGCC should unite into a single Kyiv Patriarchate.

"The most ideal scenario is the unification of the three branches of Orthodoxy – the OCU, UOC and UGCC. Since the Greek Catholics also lay claims to the Pochaiv Lavra and have made repeated statements, I believe that the three Churches should unite into one," said Zinkevych.

In his opinion, the change in jurisdiction over the Pochaiv Lavra "depends on the state".

"As for the monks – if the state transfers the property to the OCU, then the monks who were temporarily there either join the OCU or leave. The only case where they cannot leave is if the entire UOC community declares that they want to unite with the OCU. In that case, they simply need to renounce Moscow," the "hierarch" stated.

As reported, Zinkevych mentioned that he is expecting another Tomos for the united church with the Greek Catholics.
