The judge of the Kyiv-Sviatoshyn District Court rejected the prosecutor's request to remand Metropolitan Feodosiy of Cherkasy into custody. This decision was made following a closed-door court session. Metropolitan Feodosiy himself announced the outcome of the hearing and shared the news on Facebook, which was posted by Roman Prykhodko.

"Friends, the court has announced its decision. The prosecution's request has been denied, and I will remain under house arrest," said the bishop as he emerged from the courtroom, where waiting believers greeted him with joyful cries of "Hooray, thanks to God, to Christ, and the Mother of God."

Metropolitan Feodosiy, together with Bishop Antoniy of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, priests, and the congregation, held a thanksgiving prayer service right in front of the courthouse.

After the prayer service, the bishop stated that the hierarchy, clergy, and laity of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church are defending "the great, canonical truth, the principles of church life that matter to us."

"I sincerely thank you today for your salvific prayers, thanks to which I will remain under house arrest. I will continue to bear witness to the truth we all stand for," said the bishop.

Previously, it was reported by the UOJ that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) demanded the remanding of Metropolitan Feodosiy into custody.
