Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, deputy head of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, spoke about the "internal opposition" in the Greek Church that arose because of the OCU.
“I communicated with the Greek clergy,” he wrote on his Telegram channel. “It turns out that they have an internal opposition to the recognition of the OCU down there in some metropolises.”
He explained that this is expressed in the unwillingness of the priests "to concelebrate with those bishops and priests who have stained themselves by concelebrating with the OCU."
“They say that many priests either refuse to concelebrate under various pretexts when they are invited to the feasts or come and pray at the altar, don’t put on vestments so as not to concelebrate and commune with those who ‘got blemished’ by concelebrating with schismatics,” said the deputy head of the UOC DECR.
Earlier, Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich spoke about the reaction of the Cypriot priest to the situation in Mikhalcha.
