MP Oleksandr Dubinsky said on his YouTube channel that the MPs who voted in favour of banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church "will not be tomorrow", while the Church and God are eternal.
According to Dubinsky, individual cases of cooperation of representatives of the UOC with the Russian Federation do not give any grounds for banning the entire Church.
The MP noted that according to the logic of those who banned the UOC, the National police, the SBU, the State emergency service, the Prosecutor's Office, the Tax Office, Customs, and the Office of the President of Ukraine are subject to a ban.
"What, shall we close them too? No, and they will not even raise such a question. Because you have no guts. <...> All those I have named are all temporary. They will be gone tomorrow, in two months, in three months, in five months, in six months. But the Church is eternal because God is eternal life. They who made you press these buttons will not be, or you pressed them yourself. But God will question you," the MP added.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada voted in favour of banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Oleksandr Dubinsky also said that the bill on the UOC ban would not be adopted in the end.
