A believer of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church said that at least three times a week he comes to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to participate in the prayer standing.
"I come to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra whenever possible. Usually 3 times a week. In order to prayerfully support the parishioners of the UOC," said Ihor in an interview with KozakTv1.
He also said that he is extremely negative about what is happening today in the state "regarding the oppression of the UOC at the legislative level, namely the bill which is now in the Verkhovna Rada and must pass the second reading."
"The state is interfering in the Church affairs, in an unresolved way, by force of ultimatums," said the defender of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
He also invited everyone to support the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by taking part in prayer services, which are held near the walls of the Lavra at 16.00 daily.
As reported, a participant of the prayer standing said faith issues must be taken more seriously and defended, as without faith there will be nothing.
