Film "Where are you, Adam?" to be shown in cinemas of Ukraine before X-mas

The documentary film “Where are you, Adam?” Directed by Alexander Zaporoshchenko and producer Alexander Pliska, which won the Grand Prix of the XVII International Festival of Orthodox Cinema “Pokrov”, will be shown again in Ukrainian cinemas, reports “FOMA in Ukraine”.
The film screenings will take place on January 2 and 3 in the "Multiplex" network cinemas in Kyiv, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Lutsk, Lvшv, Mariupol, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy. Also, the screening of the documentary continues in the cinemas of Varash (Rivne region), Volodymyr-Volynsky, Kovel (Volyn region), Odesa, Sumy, Khust, Chervonohrad.
The list of cinemas where screenings are held is published on the official website of the film.
“The film immerses the viewer in the life of one of the monasteries of Mount Athos,” says the announcement. “A secluded monastic life, full of authentic characters and ‘everyday saints’, breaks out onto the screen from the underneath of our worldly priorities. A story about a completely unprecedented way of life in a living monastic community in the middle of the twenty-first century appears before the viewer's eyes.”
We recall that for the first time the documentary film "Where are you, Adam?", filmed with the blessing of the deceased abbot Gregory (Zumis) of Athonite Dochariou Monastery, was shown at the XVII International Festival of Orthodox Cinema "Pokrov" in October 2019. The film also took part in the Tallinn International Film Festival "Dark Nights", the Krakow International Film Festival and the Vyborg Festival "Window to Europe".
The premiere of the documentary in Ukrainian cinemas took place on September 3, 2020. The film was also released in Russian and Belarusian cinemas.
