Ukrainian authorities intend to restore St Sophia of Kyiv for UAH 79 mln

The National Reserve "Sophia of Kyiv" will restore the roof, structural systems and the gilding of the domes of St. Sophia’s Cathedral for almost 80 million hryvnias, reports the Prozorro website.

Among the sources of financing are public and charitable resources and a special fund. The restoration of St Sophia’s Cathedral is planned for 5 years.

The winner of the tender was recognised as Metaleva Pokrivlia Group LLC, which was previously engaged in repairs in the "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" Reserve. The final cost of works amounts to 79 million 203 thousand hryvnias.
