Ukrainian serviceman Serhiy, who returned from the front line, commented on the events surrounding the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The man’s appeal was published on the YouTube channel of the Volodymyr Church of the Boryspil Diocese.

During a meeting with the priest of the Volodymyr Church in the village of Dernovka, Kyiv region, a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed confidence that all those who purposefully work against the UOC receive money for it.

Commenting on the persecution of the UOC, the man said that the state or interested parties want to deprive the Church of its property, which is why they attach the prefix “Moscow Patriarchate” to it.

“All the priests in the UOC are Ukrainian, there are no one from abroad, from Russia. <…> The common people are not against the Church. Those who speak (badly about the UOC – Ed.) have nothing to do with the Church at all,” he added.

As the UOJ reported, a Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier said that patriots should go to the front, rather than seize UOC churches.
