On 20 November 2023, during the prayer standing near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, human rights activist Viktoriya Kokhanovska recorded a video message in which she called on the UOC believers to join in prayer at the walls of the shrine.
"Now we are going through a historical moment of our life, a historical moment for Orthodoxy," Viktoriya said. “Exactly now is the time of trials for each of us. <...> Come to the shrine and venerate it while you have the opportunity. We are all here temporarily, but in the Kingdom of Heaven – eternally."
As earlier reported, on 16 November 2023, during the prayer standing near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the lawyer of the monastery, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, spoke about the importance of unity in the prayer of the UOC faithful for their holy places.
