On December 5, 2023, a rally in support of Metropolitan Longin and Romanian-speaking residents of Ukraine, in need of protection for their rights, began at the Ukrainian Embassy in the Romanian capital of Bucharest. This information is reported by the UOJ correspondent.

As of 11:00, about 300 people had already gathered near the Ukrainian Embassy.

To ensure security at the protest site, Bucharest authorities sent law enforcement officers.

The participants of the rally demand that Ukrainian authorities stop repression against believers, guarantee Ukrainians the right to freedom of religion, and ensure the safety and freedom of Metropolitan Longin.

"If you are against God, then who are you with?"; "Vladyka Longin, we will always be by your side!"; "We defend the faith that our fathers bequeathed to us"; "Do not leave orphans without a father, Metropolitan Longin"; "Be good neighbors and brothers, not Russian occupiers"; "Metropolitan Longin is a Romanian Orthodox martyr from Ukraine," read the slogans on posters held by participants in the peaceful rally.

As reported by the UOJ, Metropolitan Longin thanked the Romanians for their support.
