Due to the fact that from different regions of Ukraine there are reports of illegal collection of information about religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the head of the Legal Department of the UOC, Archpriest Alexander Bakhov, published a special explanation on his Facebook page.

“Priests from the regions call and report that at the direction of regional administrations the information about the religious communities of the UOC (documents for a temple, land plot, number of priests, whether the statute has been changed, etc.) is being collected!

In this regard, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that a decision to provide or not to provide any information about a religious community can be made only after a written request from a representative of a public authority to the eparchy or a religious community! " emphasized the head of the Law Department of the UOC.

For a consultation, you can contact the Law Department hotline: 097-537-55-96

As reported earlier, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal promised Patriarch Bartholomew full administrative support for the OCU, including "transfers" of the temples of the canonical UOC.
