On December 11, 2023, the Sosnivka district court of Cherkasy postponed the hearing in the case of Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv, accused of "inciting inter-religious discord". It is reported by "Suspilne".
At the hearing, at which one of the victims was to be questioned, it was stated that the man stopped contacting his lawyers 2 months ago, and his whereabouts are unknown.
At the same time, the prosecutors asked the judge to continue the hearing and question other witnesses, but the bishop's lawyers said that this would contradict the established order of questioning.
The judge did not grant the prosecution's request and adjourned the hearing until 20 December.
As the the UOJ reported, human rights activists from the UN held a meeting with Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy.
