The session of the Northern Economic Court of Appeal on the case of "eviction of the monks" of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which was to be held on 21 December 2023, was cancelled because of the illness of the judge, reports the Lavra's lawyer Archpriest Nikita Chekman on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the exact date of the next session is not yet known. It may be at the end of January 2024.

The lawyer thanked everyone for their prayers and urged believers to continue praying for the monks of the monastery.

As reported, the court will consider Lavra's appeal against the decision to evict the monks from the monastery.
