Acting Minister of Culture Rostyslav Karandeyev, in an interview with Ukrinform, announced that the Ministry of Culture is working on maintaining monastic life in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, but it should be under the auspices of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). Karandeyev is confident that for those monks who were not hierarchs, the name of their Church doesn't matter, and the only things that matter are the relics and the Lord God.

"We treat the rights of believers and their positions with great respect," stated Karandeyev. "We continue to work to preserve monastic life in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra but to direct it in accordance with current legislation and, of course, under the auspices of the OCU."

As reported by the UOJ, in December 2023, the Ministry of Culture organized a contemporary music concert in the Refectory Church of the Lavra.
