In Vinnytsia region, vandals burn down UOC chapel

In the village Cherniavka, Vinnytsia region, vandals set fire to the UOC chapel. The fire engulfed the building on 3 January around 21:30, reports the UOC press service with reference to the Tulchyn Eparchy.

The Chapel of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessaloniki, located on the territory of the cemetery, was completely burnt down.

As reported, on 2 January 2024, the house of the abbot of the Bancheny Monastery, Metropolitan Longin (Zhar) of the UOC, caught fire.
