Members of the OCU parish in the village of Duliby, Ternopil region, complained to the church authorities about the humiliation and abuse from their reactor, which became a reason for the parishioners to go to the Uniates, reports the “Churcher” Telegram channel.
The parishioners of the OCU wrote a complaint to their "archbishop" against Nestor Tchaikovsky, their rector. Their own flock accused the "archpriest" of repeated humiliation, insults, abuse, extortion of money and threats to read a "black prayer".
The last straw in the conflict was the incident that took place on the feast of the Presentation of Our Lord. The parishioners of the OCU refused to put money on the tray with which the cashier walked around the church because their rector did not bless candles for them.
“Trying to stop him and talk about this situation, people could not catch the priest, because he fled home through the sacristy,” the appeal says.
The parishioners intended to explain to their rector in the near future that they "do not want to see him in the village".
The UOJ source confirmed that there were transfers to the UGCC from the schismatic community in Dulibi. After the last conflict with the rector, no one has yet gone over to the Uniates, but conversations are ongoing.
In particular, on Candlemass Day, members of the OCU left the service and met Greek Catholics who were walking from their church. The parishioners of the OCU confessed to the Uniates that they would go to them to consecrate candles if the service had not ended.
As reported, in Lviv, the “priest” of the OCU closed the church for parishioners and gave it to his daughter.
