On March 6, 2021, a Ukrainian delegation consisting of Servant of the People MPs and diplomats handed over letters from Vladimir Zelensky and Sergei (Epiphany) Dumenko to Patriarch Bartholomew, reports the Romfea website.

The letters to the head of Phanar were handed over by the deputy from the "Servant of the People" Bogdan Yaremenko, notorious for his correspondence with a prostitute during the session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

According to Romfea website, MP Nikita Poturayev spoke on behalf of the Ukrainian delegation.

However, the video provided by the Patriarchate of Constantinople shows (1 hour 12 minutes 40 seconds) that MP Bogdan Yaremenko is speaking, who thanked Patriarch Bartholomew for his kind words and noted the importance of his upcoming visit to Ukraine.

After that, Yaremenko handed the head of Phanar letters from Zelensky and Epiphany and also presented him with an icon painted in the colors of the national flag as a gift. In turn, Patriarch Bartholomew noted that “the colors of this icon are magnificent”, and then, pointing to the icon, added in Russian – “terrific stuff”. At the end of the meeting, the head of Phanar presented Ukrainian politicians with books and souvenirs.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the head of Phanar confirmed his arrival in Ukraine to Servants of the People.
