The website of the World Economic Forum (WEF) removed from the publication about six women who influenced the formation of the world, the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga after the claims of Petro Poroshenko, who was outraged by the mention of present-day Russia as a state that originated from ancient Kievan Rus.
In the original publication, Saint Olga was referred to as "The Princess of Kievan Rus – the progenitor of modern Russia". Poroshenko, on his Facebook page, said that Rus existed not only on the territory of modern Russia but also of Belarus and Ukraine. And on the basis of this, the ex-President concluded that there was no connection between present-day Russia and Kievan Rus and demanded that the publication be corrected.
The administrators of the WEF website did not change the content of the article but simply removed Princess Olga from the list of "great women".
As reported, the Ukrainian ambassador to Austria confused Princess Olga with her grandson.
