Dumenko meets with Volker and thanks USA for support

On March 12, 2021, the head of the OCU, Sergei (Epiphany) Dumenko, thanked the American authorities for supporting Ukraine and religious freedom in the world at a meeting with the former special representative of the US State Department for Ukraine, Kurt Volker, reports the OCU press service.
Dumenko told Volker, who now works as a senior researcher at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), about the formation of the OCU, and also discussed interfaith and state-church relations in Ukraine.
“Taking this opportunity, the Primate of the OCU expressed gratitude for the consistent support of the US government and people for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for the support of religious freedom in the world,” resumed the OCU press service.
As reported, the OCU is fighting with Filaret for parishes in the United States.
