UOC eparchies prayerfully celebrate Day of Triumph of Orthodoxy

On March 21, 2021, the Triumph of Orthodoxy was prayerfully celebrated in the eparchies of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Thus, in the Mohyliv-Podilskyi Eparchy of the UOC, a traditional religious procession, led by Metropolitan Agapit Mohyliv-Podilskyi and Sharhorod, took place. With prayers and revered icons, the clergy and believers walked from the temple of Paraskeva of the Balkans in the village of Nemiya to the worship cross in the village of Bronnytsa, Vinnytsia region, reports the press service of Mohyliv-Podilskyi Eparchy on its Facebook page.
A crowded religious procession in honor of the Triumph of Orthodoxy took place in Cherkasy, after the solemn liturgy and the rite of the Triumph of Orthodoxy at St. Michael's Cathedral. Archbishop Theodosius of Cherkasy and Kaniv was concelebrated by Bishop John of Zolotonosha and the clergy of the eparchy. During the cross procession, believers did the prayer standing near the Last Monk chapel, the Chernobyl Saviour Church and the monument to St. Luke of Crimea, who had been to Cherkasy and whose parents were buried in the territory of the present Cathedral Park.
Metropolitan John of Kherson and Taurida led the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Spirit Cathedral of Kherson. At the end of the service, a prayer service was performed by the rite of the Triumph of Orthodoxy and a cross procession was held around the cathedral. Also, religious processions of believers to celebrate the Triumph of Orthodoxy on this day were performed in the parishes of the Kherson Eparchy, reports "Orthodox Khersonschina".
Metropolitan Nikodim of Severodonetsk and Starobelsk led the Divine Liturgy at the Nativity of Christ Cathedral in Severodonetsk, reports the press service of the Severodonetsk Eparchy of the UOC. During the service, a fervent prayer was offered with a request to end the epidemic of the coronavirus, The liturgy was followed by a religious procession, in which the vicar of the Severodonetsk Eparchy, Bishop Irinarch of Novopskov, took part.
Metropolitan Elisey of Izium and Kupiansk celebrated the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great and the rite of the Triumph of Orthodoxy at the Ascension Cathedral in Izium. At the end of the liturgy, the clergy and believers held a procession around the cathedral, reports the website of the Izium Eparchy of the UOC.
Students of the Kyiv Theological Schools, led by the rector of the KDAiS, Bishop Sylvester of Belohorodka, walked in a procession around the Academic Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God. After the prayer procession, the rite of the Triumph of Orthodoxy was performed at the Academic Church, as reported on the KDAiS website.
As reported earlier, on the feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, traditional religious processions of UOC believers, led by bishops, were held in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia.
In Kyiv, the cross procession of the UOC at the Triumph of Orthodoxy was postponed due to the pandemic. As the UOC Chancellor assured, the prayer procession will definitely take place as soon as the situation allows.
