The Chernivtsi Diocese published a video on Facebook of an attempt to seize the Sts. Peter and Paul Church of the UOC in Lenkivtsi, when arriving individuals in balaclavas, whom parishioners identified as employees of the "Tigr" security firm, took control of the church premises.
In the footage, raiders standing on the steps suddenly attacked one of the believers, hitting him in the face. Immediately, a scuffle broke out, during which several arrivals knocked another parishioner to the ground and began to beat him with their hands and feet. Then, one of the bandits approached the man sitting on the ground from behind and delivered a powerful kick to his head. He lost consciousness.
At that moment, "priests" of the OCU walked into the Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
The Chernivtsi Diocese stated that they managed to identify the person "who led the actions of the hired thugs of the 'Tigr' security firm during the attempt to seize the Sts. Peter and Paul Church of the UOC in Lenkivtsi. This person took part in raiding seizures of Orthodox shrines throughout Bukovyna. Tovtry, Vaslovovtsi, Sokyriany, Zadubrivka, Lenkivtsi. Meet Maksym Abdulrahymovych Suleymanov."
The press service also recalled Dumenko's words, alleging that "provocations" are staged by believers of the UOC, and there are supposedly no persecutions.
"How much gall must be in the soul to say such things?" wonders the Chernivtsi Diocese.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the temples of the UOC in Sokyriany and Lenkivtsi were seized by the same people.
