On April 7, 2021, the head of the Zhytomyr-Ovruch diocese of the OCU "Bishop" Paisiy performed a funeral service at the grave of Bishop Yan Purvinsky of the RCC in the Catholic church of Zhytomyr, the website of the Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church reports.

In the published photo, the “hierarch” of the OCU stands in front of the coffin of a Catholic bishop in liturgical vestments with a censer and a cross. The diocese of the RCC notes that "Bishop" Paisiy was personally acquainted and maintained friendly relations with Yan Purvinsky, who since 2011 headed the Kyiv-Zhytomyr diocese of the RCC.

As reported by the UOJ, Uniates and Catholics held a memorial service over the body of the “hierarch” of the OCU.
