On 24 February 2024, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry prayed for all Orthodox Ukrainian soldiers who died in the war, reports the press service of the UOC.
"For all the defenders who are now staying on the battlefield, protecting us," Metropolitan Onuphry said. “We pray that God strengthens them, that God helps them, that God is with them. And no one will defeat them. So that they soon return to their families, to their homes healthy, happy, with peace and joy of victory in their hearts. May God bless our Ukrainian people and our Ukrainian land with peace. May God bless the whole world with peace".
As earlier reported, His Beatitude Onuphry addressed Ukrainians on the second anniversary of the invasion of the Russian Federation.
